The legal representative seal is a personal-name seal belonging to the company's registered legal representative (法定代表人). It is usually a small square or rectangular seal showing only the person's name, often paired with the finance seal (财务专用章) to authorize cheques, bank transfers and tax filings. Because it stands in for an individual's signature, banks register its impression together with the finance seal as the company's reserved seal combination (预留印鉴).
