About this seal

A date stamp marks when a document was received, reviewed or processed. The common round design carries the organization name on the top arc, a status word such as RECEIVED, PAID or APPROVED on the bottom, and the date in the center. Offices use it on incoming mail, invoices and forms to record processing dates; a self-inking dater normally lets the date wheels be changed each day.

Common uses

  • Date-stamping incoming mail and invoices
  • Marking documents RECEIVED, PAID or APPROVED
  • Filing, intake and processing workflows
  • Records management and audit trails

How to create it

  1. Open the template — the round date-stamp layout is pre-applied.
  2. Enter your organization name on the top arc.
  3. Edit the status word (RECEIVED, PAID, APPROVED…).
  4. Set the center date to the value you need.
  5. Export a transparent PNG or SVG.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change the status word and date?

Yes — the editor lets you set the bottom label (RECEIVED, PAID, APPROVED, etc.) and the center date independently.

Does the date update automatically?

No — this generates a fixed image. Physical self-inking daters have adjustable wheels; here you set the date text manually before exporting.
